Computational methods for seismic analysis of bridges

Abstract


A study comparing the seismic response of five bridges is presented. The objetive is to weight the results obtained with different computational methods in order to stablish the respective fields of application. Two combination tules (RMS & CQC), the approximate (Ray leigh based) method and the modal acceleration method are compared. All methods compute the structural response using the the spectral modal method.
