Editorial Board

The fundamental mission of the Editorial Board is to ensure the continuity of the Journal with the highest level of quality.

The Editorial Board consists of the Editor-in-Chief, the managing Editor and as many Board Members as necessary to represent the main fields of the structural engineering. (residential building, civil works, prefabrication, consulting, research centers, universities...), up to a maximum of twenty.

It will be presided by the Editor-in-Chief, who will be appointed by the Board of ACHE after proposal of the Coordination Committee. The Editor-in-Chief shall be renewed or ratified every three years, coinciding with the renewal of the ACHE Board itself.

Scientific Advisory Board

The Scientific Advisory Board is composed of the Advisors, people of recognized experience and prestige in the different fields of the structural engineering and its materials, Their traditional and fundamental funcition is to ensure the technical and scientific prestige of the Journal. The will also act as representatives of the Journal in their respective countries, serving as a link between them and Editorial Board or the Drafting Committee.

Furthermore and depending on the circumstances and their technical/scientific speciality, the Advisory Board Members may act as reviewers in the evaluation process of the received papers. They may also propose to contact or to involve external specialists in the reviewers database of the Journal.

To ensure the best performance, both the Editorial Board Members and the Advisory Board Members shall be divided in groups according to their field of expertise. This fields will be related to the different fields and areas of the Association. For each group there will be a Board Member acting as Coordinator of Evaluations. This coordinator will be the responsible for proposing to the Editorial Board the main guidelines and targets in the particular filed during a period of time. He/she will also be responsible for taking care of the fulfilment of this guidelines and targets.

The Coordinator of Evaluations will be in charge of  designating two reviewers that will evaluate any paper submitted to the Journal.
