Abstract

Current policies related with the Construction Sector have increased the importance of the rehabilitation business. For this reason, the research and study of innovative and economic solution has gained considerable relevance. This paper presents a study focused on the Textile Reinforced Mortar technology (TRM). This composite is formed by the union of technical textiles and inorganic-based matrices. The included experimental campaign checks the effect of the TRM as strengthening solution in flexure and studies the mechanical behaviour of the composite and its constitutive materials. Finally, the experimental results are contrasted with a numerical model which may facilitate the design of TRM strengthening projects. The obtained results confirms TRM as an effective solution.
