Experimental characterization of creep and shrinkage of plain concrete

Abstract

This paper is the continuation of another published in the same magazine. It shows the equipment developed to measure of shrinkage in concrete at the ""Cátedra de Hormigon"" of the ""ETSICCP"" of Barcelona. One of the advantages of this equipment is the possibility of measuring shrinkage since the cast of the specimen, by mean of internal point. some of the results of creep and shrinkage strains (scarcely published in Spain), obtained with the equipments developed by us, are presented. In base of the results we made some comments about points less known or in permanent discussion.
