Some ideas about launched-bridges previous design: launching with provisional cable-stayed tower and short steel nose
Abstract
In this paper incremental lauched bridges technique with ""short"" steel nsose and provisional cable-stayed tower is duscussed. This study completes the already published paper about launched-bridges with ""normal"" steel nose. Some relationships between the main parameters governing the cable-stayed system are proposed and four parametric studies are performed in order to determine the optimum design (height of the tower and anchorage point of the cable-stayed system) based on economic criteria.
