Analysis of the accuracy of EH-91 deflection calculation formulas

Abstract

The authors analizes the EH-91 deflection formula accuracy, in cases of instantaneous and long term deflections. Slabs, beams and shallow beams with differents loads have been analized. The desviation are calculated by comparison with the method of curvatures integration CFMC90, developed by the authors taking account the theories stablished in the MODEL CODE 90. The analysis done, show that the EH-91 calculation deflections method, agree well for loads applied at young ages. For active deflections the method has acceptable results in all the casual cases of aplication. A comparison of results with that obtained with the norteamerican ACI-318-89 has been doing.
