The bearing capacity of plain concrete loaded over a limited area. Experimental investigation

Abstract

The present work has been taken from results of an experimental study of the bearing strength of concrete under the action of a concentrate load. The variables considered have been coment content on the concrete, maximum size of coarse aggregate and loaded area to total area ratio. With the obtained results through a stadistic analysis of least-squares linear regression has turned out two predicted equation of bearing strength to localissed compression an unreinforced concrete under a centralised concentrated loading; bearing strength of concrete and bearing strength to flexural strength of concrete.
