Steel-concrete composite bridge over the Main Square of the Technological Park of Andalucia, in Malaga

Abstract

The new steel-concrete composite bridge over the main square of the Technological Park of Andalucia, in Malaga, is described. It is a singular construction with a specific design on which formal and aesthetic aspects are really taken into account. The new bridge must become an emblematic image of the Park and, as it is located at the Central Square of the Technological Park, the new bridge must be not only aesthetically nice, but also technically advanced. The bridge, its formal and structural tipology, is described in the paper. It also makes a brief approximation to some of the most interesting aspects considered in the structural analysis.
