A bridge over the Besós river, in Barcelona

Abstract

We present here a bridge of cable stayed type and urban features, with an overall length of 138 m and width equal to 35 m, whose main structural interest lies on the deck suspension at only the mid plane and the corresponding cross-section design of prestressed concrete in order to resist the resulting transverse bending internal forces.
