Removal of the cable-stayed footbridge from "Plaza de las Glorias Catalanas"

Abstract

The proyect of the removal of a cable-stayed footbridge in ""Plaza de las Glorias Catalanas"", in Barcelona, and its new erection on the ""Cinturón Litoral"", in the same city, is described. After a detailed description od the original project, some changes from the old design are described. A description of the removal process is made and some conclusions from the laboratory testing of the old stays after 18 years are reached.
