Seismic damage indices for reinforced concrete buildings

Abstract

This paper describes the most invoked of the available numerical models used in evaluating the seismic damage for reinforced concrete buildings. The evaluation is performed by means of seismic damage indices which are classified in this paper in function of the involved parameters and type of the equations used in their formulation. The classification is useful in selecting the damage indices which are adequate to be used in seismic risk studies
