Abstract

This report presents the development of the different stages on the long-term behaviour of concrete structures strengthening systems, based on carbon fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP) in wet-dry cycles, permanent moisture saturation and 50ºC constant temperature. Seventy-two beam samples have been manufactured, and retrofitted with two types of strengthening material based on CFRP, using two different qualities of concrete. The beam samples have been exposed during 9 months to three different aging conditions. Then the beam-samples have been tested to failure at half and at the end of the aging period, in order to study how the different environmental conditions to which have been exposed, affect to the efficiency strengthening system. Finally the results have been discussed and the main conclusions are outlined.
