Practical design of rigid footing

Abstract

This paper offers the formulae and corresponding tables and graphs that permit to measure rigid footing reinforcing bars and to determine a logical geometry of them in terms of the forces applied to the column base. The expression ot them in nondimensional form permits their use in a generic way and their possible aplication in a elemental program with Basic language in manual programing machines. The behavior by conneting rod preconized in the present Spanish EHE code has been considered. Finally, a study showing the fitness of the offered formula is done
