Reinforcement of Structures With Ultra-High Strength Mortars, Reinforced With Fibers, in a Thin Layer
Abstract
An innovative system for the reinforcement of thin-layer concrete elements with ultra-high-strength mortars reinforced with structural metal fibers is presented. The system makes it possible to reinforce columns, beams and slabs, solid, reticular and unidirectional, by means of re-shaping, of low thickness, with mortars with high tensile strength and very high compression resistance, so that a reinforced section of greater resistant capacity. The system and the tests carried out that demonstrate its technical suitability for the purpose pursued are exposed.
