Modified Project of the A-54 Viaduct over the Miño River in Lugo

Abstract

The viaduct over the Miño River is located on the A-54 Lugo-Santiago motorway on the Vilamoure Link - Nadela del Sur (Lugo) Link Section. The viaduct is located in a curved layout and 1000 m radius and is 341 meters long, with a span distribution of 93-155-93. The width is 22.80 meters with four lanes. It is solved with a prestressed concrete box section with inclined 117º webs and parabolically variable edge with 8 m in the pier section and 4.0 m in span center. The deck is constructed by balanced cantilever. The reference design was developed by EGIS-EYSER. CFC developed an alternative solution modifying the configuration of the box girder.
