Abstract


The construction of the approach spans of the High Speed Viaduct over the Almonte River was performed previously to the construction of the main span of the viaduct, consisting on an upper deck concrete arch to bridge the river. These approach 45 m spans, whose prominence vanish irretrievably against the main span, were built by means of two overhead movable scaffolding system, once the foundations and the piers were constructed
