Dynamic auscultation of the cable stays of the Constitución de 1812 cable-stayed Bridge over the Cadiz Bay

Abstract

In order to have a record of the cable stay stresses and the damping coefficients to keep track of its evolution, a dynamic auscultation of them has been performed before the bridge is open to traffic. Their tension forces have been obtained through the vibrating string analogy.
